Meeting opened at 7:45 pm by Steve, N9UDO, President, because the recording secretary was late.
Minutes approved as read and published.
Treasurers report: after several pay outs, we have a balance of $xx58.27.
We have pre-sold 7 tables and 9 entry tickets for up coming fest.
Old Business: D-Star net was started on July 11 and had around 20 check-ins, For being the first net, it was impressive!! The second night, Steve was on vacation and they got 17 check-ins. Net being run by Mark Thompson. The net is every Sunday night, at 9:00 on the Baraboo D-Star repeater. Steve hooks up with several other repeaters in the state for everyone to check in on.
New Business: Don, K9JYX will check with STEVE POLISHINSKI, WB9YSD from Sun Prairie, to see if he might be able to give us a presentation on his wintering at the South Pole. He spent last winter there, and is planning to spend this one there also. Good luck Don.
Swap Fest is scheduled for August 28 at the Elks Club in Baraboo. Set up is at 6:30, and then report on Saturday at 6am. We need someone to take pictures, and also someone to pick up a hand stamp. Doors open at 6am for dealers, doors for guests at 8am. Anyone taking pictures, please e-mail them to N9UDO so he can post them on the web page.
September meeting we will be accepting nominations for officers of the club. Then the October meeting we will vote on them. If you want to run for office, please let N9UDO know, and it will be noted. Please show up for the meeting, and get your nominations in!! Good Luck!!
