Meeting Minutes December 1, 2009

The meeting was called to order by President Steve Schulze (N9UDO) at 7:30 p.m. The minutes from the meeting on November 3, 2009 were distributed and reviewed. One correction was presented: Our next meeting is December 1, 2009, not 2010. Don Evenson (K9JYX) motioned to accept the corrected minutes. Dave Spearing (KB9CSW) seconded this motion. A vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously. Treasurer Don Evenson (K9JYX) reported that as of 12-01-09 our account balance is $xx64.70. There are no outstanding bills. Old Business: Our new S-COM 7330 controller is on the air! We are still waiting for the D-Star combining results. The annual holiday party will be January 16, 2010, as previously voted on. At this meeting, we voted on the location. Votes were taken by email, and at this meeting. Results are: Farm Kitchen = 5, RJ's in Portage = 7, Blackhawk in Sauk City = 0.  Dave (KB9CSW) will confirm our reservations with RJ's and Steve (N9UDO) will send out notices with a RSVP request. New Business: Len Kreyer (N9QIP) has expressed interest in buying the Arcom controller that we recently took out of service. After some discussion, it was suggested that YTARC offer the unit for $150.00. Jane Steinweg (N9JAS) made a motion to offer the unit  for the price of $150.00. This motion was seconded by Tom Harrison (N9PQJ). A vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously. The meeting dates and times for 2010 were discussed. Don (K9JYX) made a motion to keep the monthly meeting on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. Tom (N9PQJ) seconded this motion. A vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously. Therefore, the meeting dates for 2010 are: Jan. 5, Feb. 2, March 2, April 6, May 4, June 1, July 6, Aug. 3, Sept. 7, Oct. 5, Nov. 2, and Dec. 7. Mark your calendars. Also discussed was the matter of annual membership dues. Tom (N9PQJ) motioned that we keep our annual dues at $20.00 per year, per family. This was seconded by Don (K9JYX) and was passed by unanimous vote. Steve announced that he was beginning preparations for the annual YTARC news letter. Watch your mailboxes! Don (K9JYX) made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:00 and it was seconded by Dave (KB9CSW). The vote was unanimous. Our next meeting will be January 5, 2010.
