Meeting Minutes December 2011

This meeting was called to order by President Tom Harrison (N9PQJ) at 7:30p.m.

The minutes from the meeting on November 1, 2011 were distributed and reviewed. Dave Spearing (KB9CSW) motioned to accept the minutes as published. Don Evenson (N9JYX) seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote.

Don Evenson (K9JYX) presented the Treasurers report. There have been no transactions since our last meeting. The current balance is $xx86.95. A motion was made by Drew Smith (KC9LJK) to accept the Treasurers report. Gary Sorensen (W9ULK) seconded the motion and it was passed with a unanimous vote.

Old Business:
The YTARC Holiday party will be held on Saturday, January 14th at Rivers Edge in Lake Delton. Social hour begins at 6:00pm with dinner at 7:00pm. We will be ordering off the menu. Please RSVP to Tom Harrison (N9PQJ) by December 31st if you plan to attend.

It was decided at the November meeting that membership dues would remain at $20 per year.

New Business:
Discussion was held on whether or not to make changes to our meeting schedule. It was proposed to continue meeting on the first Tuesday of each month. A motion was made by Don Evenson (K9JYX) to keep our monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of the month. The motion was seconded by Drew Smith (KC9LJK) and it was passed with a unanimous vote.

Board members will meet on Sunday, December 18th after Zilch to write the annual newsletter.

Tom Harrison (N9PQJ) proposed the idea of making a contribution to Pointon Communications to assist in covering the facility costs associated with the YTARC repeaters. After discussion, it was decided that a check for $200 should be written to Pointon Communications. A motion was made by Drew Smith (KC9LJK) to make a $200 contribution to cover repeater expenses. Don Evenson (K9JYX) seconded the motion and it was passed with a unanimous vote.

Don Evenson (K9JYX) motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:15p.m. The motion was seconded by Dave Spearing  (KB9CSW) and the motion was passed unanimously.

Our next meeting will be held Tuesday, January 3rd, 2011.
