Meeting Minutes - February 2, 2010

The meeting was called to order by President Steve Schulze (N9UDO) at 7:30 p.m. The minutes from the meeting on January 5, 2010 were distributed and reviewed. Don Evenson (K9JYX) motioned to accept the minutes. Tom Yager (KC9NJP) seconded this motion. A vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously. Treasurer Don Evenson (K9JYX) reported that as of 2-02-10, our account balance is $xx06.70. The only outstanding bill is for the D-Star combining project. Old Business: Our annual holiday party was January 16, 2010 at RJ's in Portage. 21 people attended, the food was great, and the conversation was wonderful. If you missed it, we might do it again next year! The annual mailing with renewal form went out in January. If you have sent your renewal in, we thank you. If you still need to send yours in, please do so at your earliest convenience. Our D-Star repeater has been added to the existing combining system. There are a few minor issues that are being worked on.  Steve presented a slide show of pictures from the installation. New Business: Our annual Swapfest is ARRL Sanctioned! Thank you, Tom Harrison (N9PQJ). Brad Pointon (KB9VMC) will be donating 2 grand prizes this year: Icom IC2200H mobile, and Icom V82 portable. Thank you, Brad! Don (K9JYX) has been in contact with Steve Polishinski (WB9YSD) about his South Pole adventures. An invitation will be extended to come and share his adventures with us. Bob Garske (W9EWW) has proposed that the club purchase an antenna analyzer. Stay tuned for further information. Don (K9JYX) made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:00, and it was seconded by Tom (N9PQJ). The vote was unanimous. Our next meeting will be March 2, 2010.
