The meeting was called to order by President Steve Schulze (N9UDO) at 7:30 p.m.
The minutes from the meeting on June 1, 2010 were distributed and reviewed. The Treasurer's report was correct to reflect a balance of $xx66.14, not the reported $xx66.14. Don Evenson (K9JYX) motioned to accept the corrected minutes, and seconded by Dave Spearing (KB9CSW). A vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously.
Don (K9JYX) presented the treasurers report. Our beginning balance was $xx66.14. The final bill for the D-Star combining project has been received and paid. The total cost was $3160.76. This leaves an account balance of $xx05.38.
Old Business:
Field Day 2010 was held on June 26 & 27 at Owen Park. With a 3-A designation, our teamed logged a total of 348 contacts on 7 bands. Joe, WB9SBD, logged 100 contacts using CW. Code is not dead! As always, a good time was had by all. Special thanks to Karen and Kim for the wonderful food! After all, Hams cannot live by radio alone. As a special note, the International Space Station flew directly overhead on Saturday evening. Although contact was attempted, the station was not radio active.
D-Star was successfully moved to its permanent home on 145.315 on June 22, 2010.
New Business:
Our WAR renewal fee for 147.315 is due. Our treasurer, Don, will be sending a check for $15.00.
Swapfest news: We have received ARRL gift certificates to add to our door prize collection. Just a reminder, our Swapfest is August 28, 2010. Setup will be the evening before.
A new Wisconsin D-Star net begins this Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 9:00 p.m. Wisconsin repeaters can connect to reflector 19B to join this net.
Tom Harrison (N9PQJ) made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:30 p.m. Drew Smith (KC9LJK) seconded the motion, and the vote was unanimous.
